abip CPAs | Advisors names Melissa Ryan, CPA, partner in New Braunfels

Ryan brings over 15 years of experience in state and local tax, with a focus on income and franchise tax for multistate businesses. Most recently a managing director at Macias Gini & O’Connell LLP, a national tax firm, she led its state and local income and franchise tax division and oversaw annual compliance and related tax matters for clients across the United States. She began her career in the state and local tax practice of a Big Four firm. At abip, Ryan will lead the firm's state and local tax services and work with corporate and partnership clients navigating multistate compliance, consulting and planning.

"I was drawn to abip because clients here work directly with partners, and that is how I have always wanted to practice. I am glad to be doing it in the community my family calls home." said Ryan.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and finance from Sonoma State University and is a licensed CPA in Texas and California. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs and recently joined the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce. She has lived in New Braunfels with her husband and three sons since 2022.
