Three Gibbons Attorneys Selected to Intellectual Asset Management’s 2021 “Global Leaders” Guide

To qualify for inclusion in IAM Global Leaders, individuals must be ranked in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000, the annual directory that identifies the top attorneys and law firms in the world’s most important patent jurisdictions, through extensive research on hundreds of written submissions from firms detailing their recent activities, as well as comprehensive interviews and correspondence with patent lawyers, attorneys, and their clients. This year, Gibbons was one of only three gold tier firms in New Jersey. In addition, eight Gibbons attorneys, including Dr De Lorenzi, Mr Gould, and Mr Johnston, were ranked individually among IAM’s leading patent practitioners, spanning the litigation, prosecution, and transactions categories.

According to the publication, “All those listed as IAM Global Leaders merit special attention not only because of their expertise and experience relating to creating, protecting, managing, transacting, and enforcing critical patent rights, but also for their ability to innovate, inspire and go above and beyond to deliver for their clients.”

In the most recent edition of the IAM Patent 1000, on which the IAM Global Leaders directory is based, Dr De Lorenzi was highlighted for his longstanding, national patent litigation and transactional practice, with the publication noting, “Part of what makes IP chair De Lorenzi so effective as a trial lawyer is the depth of his insight into IP development and transactions, which helps him to ground his arguments in commercial reality.” The publication ranked Mr Johnston and Mr Gould among its “Luminaries” who “stand out” for their “top-flight in-house experience”. The other Gibbons intellectual property department attorneys ranked in the IAM Patent 1000 this year were Thomas J. Bean, Charles H. Chevalier, Samuel H. Megerditchian, Robert E. Rudnick, and Christopher H. Strate.
